Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phil Mahcock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Asu Kuren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Phil Mahcock has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Phil Mahcock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Asu Kuren!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kuren throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mahcock tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kuren is in Mahcock's guard.
Mahcock is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

You get the feeling that Mahcock really doesn't like being in this position too much.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Kuren feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Mahcock is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kuren is aware though and is defending well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kuren is trying to drag Mahcock to the mat but Mahcock just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Kuren is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Mahcock gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Mahcock has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Kuren regains guard immediately.

Mahcock is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Kuren is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

That's time! Mahcock's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Kuren drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Mahcock on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mahcock tries to get out of the position.

Mahcock is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kuren defends well.

Mahcock has his foot on Kuren's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kuren works his way back into a safe position though.

Kuren has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mahcock avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Mahcock is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Mahcock pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Mahcock has a couple of punches blocked by Kuren.

Kuren drops down looking for an ankle pick but Mahcock pulls his leg out and moves away.
Phil Mahcock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Asu Kuren.

I would just about give that final round to Asu Kuren.
I've got Kuren winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Asu Kuren rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
