Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Beeker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Orlando Nunez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nunez has chosen I Gotta Feeling by The Black Eyed Peas as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryan Beeker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Orlando Nunez!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beeker feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Nunez is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Beeker is aware though and is defending well.
Nunez manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Beeker manages to get himself to full guard.

Beeker pulls Nunez in close to his closed guard and prevents Nunez from doing any damage or advancing position.
Beeker on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Beeker tries to get out of the position.
Beeker's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Beeker looks to land a combination but Nunez avoids it well.
Beeker shoots in for a takedown but Nunez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
No luck for Nunez with that takedown attempt.
Nunez tries to close the distance and clinch but Beeker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Beeker is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Nunez knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Beeker looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Nunez told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Beeker wants to control the pace but Nunez is squirming around nicely.

Nunez shoots for a double leg takedown but Beeker sprawls well. He's pushed Nunez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Beeker fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nunez sprawls well initially but Beeker persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Beeker is refusing to be controlled, as Nunez sits in half guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ryan Beeker will probably get the nod.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
