Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Reves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cory Dillon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cory Dillon!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reves connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Dillon momentarily.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Dillon.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Reves is letting Dillon control him for a moment.
Reves knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dillon on the ground.
Dillon misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Dillon lands a decent elbow from side control.
Check out the look on Dillon's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Dillon misses with the ground and pound.
Dillon looks up at the clock and then as Reves takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Dillon smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Dillon sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Reves is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Reves is letting Dillon control him for a moment.
Dillon connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Reves some visible discomfort.
You can see the frustration on Reves's face as Dillon controls the position.
Dillon looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Reves is avoiding damage well.

The ground and pound from Dillon seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Reves takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Reves avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Dillon.
Dillon sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Reves is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Dillon misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Dillon wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Reves, who protects the arm well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dillon controlling from side mount.

Dillon thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Dillon controls the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Dillon tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dillon has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Dillon throws an elbow but Reves slips to the side and avoids it well.
Dillon landing strikes.
Dillon tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Reves is being controlled here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Dillon scoring with punches and elbows.
Dillon remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cory Dillon dominated that round.
That's time! Reves's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Reves throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Reves throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Reves misses with a lunging right hand

and Dillon counters with a nice double leg into side control. Reves won't be happy with that.
Dillon staying calm.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dillon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dillon is chipping away with strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dillon scoring with punches and elbows.
Reves is trying to escape the position but Dillon is controlling the position.
Reves wants to get back to his feet but Dillon is dominant here and he's now got Reves's back!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dillon is not going to allow Reves to sit and survive in this position.
Reves is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Dillon.
Dillon's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Dillon is cranking Reves's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Reves! He's tightened the choke and Reves is tapping out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Cory Dillon!
