The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones blocks the body kick.
Nice defenses there by Jones.
Jones appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jones could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Snertanbottom keeps Jones at a distance using the push kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Snertanbottom bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Jones lands a nice hook to Snertanbottom's body. Snertanbottom takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

and Snertanbottom counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Jones with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Snertanbottom to score with a decent uppercut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Snertanbottom tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Snertanbottom's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Jones drops Snertanbottom onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Snertanbottom is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Snertanbottom is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jones creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Snertanbottom's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Snertanbottom drops to his knees and Jones pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Donnie Jones!
A relieved looking Donnie Jones thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
