Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hunter Curtis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ford Harrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunter Curtis has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hunter Curtis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ford Harrison!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Curtis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Harrison is fending him off so far but Curtis persists. Nope, Harrison circles away and we're back to standing.
Curtis lands with a slapping head kick.

Curtis forces Harrison back against the cage and clinches.

Curtis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Harrison has closed the distance and engaged Curtis in a clinch.
Harrison tries to circle away but Curtis has him pinned against the cage.
Curtis looking to throw knees to the head but Harrison is blocking nicely.

Curtis successfully pulls guard.
Curtis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Harrison seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Curtis is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Harrison wants to get up but he can't break Curtis's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Curtis is adopting a defensive guard.
Harrison slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
It looks like Harrison might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Harrison closes the distance and clinches.

Harrison looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Harrison is working for takedown but Curtis is calmly controlling the position for now.
Harrison tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Curtis wants to control from the top but Harrison keeps moving.

Harrison working for a triangle but Curtis defends it easily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Curtis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Curtis would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Harrison manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Curtis manages to get himself to full guard.

Harrison postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Curtis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Harrison on the ground.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ford Harrison dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Harrison looks for a takedown but Curtis sprawls well.
Harrison swats away the attempt to clinch by Curtis.
Curtis misses with an attempted mid kick.
Curtis throws a body kick that misses.
A countering left hand to the body from Harrison misses.

Harrison bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Curtis sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Curtis is trying to control but can't.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Harrison in particular looking to stall.

Harrison is continuing to stall.
Curtis avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Harrison.
Curtis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Harrison is working away from the top position though.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Harrison cracks the inside of Curtis's front leg.
Harrison wants to clinch.
Curtis tries to close the distance and clinch up but Harrison swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Harrison throws a big shot that misses.

Harrison has Curtis up against the cage in a clinch.
Harrison has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Curtis avoiding damage.

Curtis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Curtis closes the distance and clinches up with Harrison, looking for a takedown. Curtis pushes Harrison against the cage but Harrison circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hunter Curtis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Harrison shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Curtis defends it nicely.

Harrison closes the distance and pushes Curtis back into the cage.
Curtis dodges an elbow strike from Harrison.

Curtis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Curtis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Harrison circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hunter Curtis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Harrison closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Curtis goes for a takedown attempt but Harrison pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Curtis tries to clinch but Harrison is having none of it.
Harrison looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Harrison closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Curtis's guard.

Harrison controls from within his opponent's guard.
Harrison chips away with some ground and pound.
Harrison passes into half guard.
Harrison seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Harrison is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ford Harrison showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Harrison in particular looking to stall.

Harrison seems to be working for a kimura but Curtis defends the submission attempt.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Well, if Harrison is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Curtis has one foot on Harrison's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Curtis shoots in for a takedown but Harrison shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Curtis circles away from the clinch attempt.
Curtis shoots and misses

and Harrison counters by moving into the clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Harrison misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Curtis.
Harrison is defending well against a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hunter Curtis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Curtis manages to break the clinch.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Curtis enables Harrison to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Curtis manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Harrison decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Hunter Curtis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Harrison perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Harrison frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Harrison is working for a guillotine from mount but Curtis frees his head quite easily.
Harrison trying to control but Curtis is having none of it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ford Harrison comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Harrison winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
