Jones kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Real American. Alex Jones has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mullins throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jones sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Mullins misses with the combination.
Mullins throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jones swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Mullins throws a series of punches but Jones avoids them all with ease.
Mullins keeps the fight on the outside.

Jones tries to clinch but Mullins is having none of it.
Mullins unleashes a big counter combination but Jones bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Jones showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mullins.
A little feinted left hand from Jones on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Mullins misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jones takes one to the chin there.
Mullins tries to score with a low kick but Jones moves his leg out of the way.
Jones fails with an attempt to clinch.
No joy there for Mullins, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mullins takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Mullins throws a right hand that Jones ducks under and follows up with a left that Jones also avoids with ease.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jones takes the fight into the clinch.

Mullins pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mullins takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Mullins has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mullins there as he acknowledges the shot.
Jones tries to clinch up but Mullins circles away and keeps his distance.

Jones moves forwards but Mullins connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Mullins looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jones definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Mullins get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Mullins stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the ropes but Jones runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Alex Jones!
A relieved looking Alex Jones thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
