Loveladdy has chosen Snoop Lion - Here Comes The King! as his entrance music. Shape Shifter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
A clash of legs there as Loveladdy blocks the low kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A frustrated look appears on Loveladdy's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Loveladdy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Shifter feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Loveladdy's calf.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shifter has clasped his hands together around Loveladdy's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Loveladdy parries the strikes from Shifter easily there. Shifter is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Loveladdy to escape.

Shifter is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Loveladdy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Loveladdy felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Loveladdy is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Shifter has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Shifter is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Loveladdy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Shifter creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Loveladdy sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Shifter has hold of Loveladdy's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Loveladdy seems comfortable defending it but Shifter has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Loveladdy is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Loveladdy is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Shifter couldn't care less - he's delighted!
