Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ray Jay Ray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leonid Bondarenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leonid Bondarenko struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 206.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Ray Jay Ray could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Leonid Bondarenko's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ray Jay Ray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leonid Bondarenko!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Eliza Hachem and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jay Ray moves into the clinch successfully.

Bondarenko has picked Jay Ray up - he's going for a ride! Bondarenko dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jay Ray is refusing to be controlled, as Bondarenko sits in half guard.
Jay Ray trying to hold on to Bondarenko's head to control him but Bondarenko postures up.
Bondarenko trying to control the action but Jay Ray is working from the bottom.
Jay Ray knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bondarenko on the ground.
Bondarenko has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Jay Ray on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jay Ray tries to get out of the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bondarenko throws a strike there. Jay Ray manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.

Bondarenko has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Bondarenko is working for an americana but Jay Ray has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Bondarenko was thinking about the submission.

Bondarenko is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Jay Ray wants to control from the top but Bondarenko keeps moving.
Jay Ray throws an elbow that misses. Bondarenko uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jay Ray's guard. Nice move by Bondarenko!

Bondarenko slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Jay Ray wants to sweep here but Bondarenko controlling him for the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Bondarenko goes for a double leg but Jay Ray avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jay Ray continues to drive forward.

Jay Ray lands a left and a right that send Bondarenko crashing to the mat, dazed. Jay Ray thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Bondarenko is rocked!

Bondarenko is still on wobbly legs! Can Jay Ray finish him?
Jay Ray lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Bondarenko tries for a takedown but Jay Ray manages to get underhooks.

Bondarenko drags the fight down to the ground.

Bondarenko seems to have recovered his senses.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Jay Ray's corner is telling him to maintain position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ray Jay Ray dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

A head punch on the inside from Jay Ray fails to land.
Jay Ray is pressed up against the cage. Bondarenko has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jay Ray down to the mat. Jay Ray avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Bondarenko changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jay Ray tries to avoid it but Bondarenko manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jay Ray to the ground. Jay Ray escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bondarenko darts in looking for a takedown but Jay Ray gets double underhooks and turns Bondarenko into the cage.
Ray Jay Ray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leonid Bondarenko.

Jay Ray clinches.
Bondarenko is trying to drag Jay Ray to the mat but Jay Ray just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Jay Ray lands with a short shot to the head.
Jay Ray has a couple of punches blocked by Bondarenko.

Jay Ray creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Jay Ray is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bondarenko can do to turn this around?

Bondarenko has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Jay Ray seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Bondarenko can turn it around.

Jay Ray tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Bondarenko's elbow.
Bondarenko wants to take the fight to the mat but Jay Ray manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Jay Ray connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Bondarenko covering up! Jay Ray comes in with a big uppercut and Bondarenko goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ray Jay Ray!
