The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bartlet looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Bartlet closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bartlet lands in his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Davis wants to stand up but Bartlet is controlling him.
Bartlet passes into half guard.
Davis keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bartlet misses with a head shot. Davis uses the momentum to regain guard.

Bartlet content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Davis has locked up a guillotine! Davis's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Bartlet is holding on here and Davis must be using up a lot of energy. Bartlet has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Davis gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
