The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

On A Stick uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mercenarul.

On A Stick feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Mercenarul's calf.
Mercenarul takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

On A Stick postures up and lands a big shot to Mercenarul's brow.

On A Stick is pushing down on Mercenarul's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mercenarul is fighting to maintain full guard but On A Stick has managed to sneak the leg through.
On A Stick slows the pace down in half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. On A Stick lands a nice short elbow.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with On A Stick in particular looking to stall.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Mercenarul definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
On A Stick throws a combination. Mercenarul tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
On A Stick dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
On A Stick throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mercenarul stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
On A Stick lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Mercenarul throws a hook but On A Stick blocks it.
Mercenarul tries to sprawl but On A Stick drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Mercenarul pushes On A Stick off but On A Stick dives into side control.

On A Stick remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

On A Stick connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Mercenarul! He's out on his feet! On A Stick rushes in and drops Mercenarul with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
