The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Borzov.
Igor Borzov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gunn moves out of range of the leg kick from Borzov.
Gunn buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Gunn misses with a wild body shot.
Borzov throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gunn is looking for a counter combo.
Gunn digs a good body shot into Borzov's ribs.

Borzov clinches up against the cage.

Gunn breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Gunn feints and then cracks Borzov's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Borzov down.
A solid leg kick lands there for Gunn.
Gunn lets loose with a powerful body kick. Borzov will feel that in the morning.
Borzov looks winded!
Gunn throws a front kick that sends Borzov stumbling back into the cage.

Nice uppercut lands for Gunn. That snapped Borzov's head back.

It looks like Igor Borzov has been cut.
Gunn lands a nice looking kick to the body. Borzov takes a step back to recover.
Gunn is looking to slow Borzov down with leg kicks.
Borzov's coach down at Cozad The Island was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Borzov's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Borzov takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Borzov tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Show Gunn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gunn lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Gunn throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Borzov stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Gunn fakes the leg kick and cracks Borzov in the body.

Borzov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Gunn circles away quickly and effectively.
Gunn lands a really nice looking cross but Borzov seems unphased.
Gunn lands a jab to the head.

Gunn connects with a leg kick. Borzov looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
The fighters circle momentarily. Gunn darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

That has opened up Igor Borzov's cut even more.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Gunn.
Gunn thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Borzov if he has to take too many more of those.

Gunn connects with a good right hand that stumbles Borzov. Borzov circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Gunn lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Gunn lands a nice leg kick that just misses Borzov's sensitive parts.
Borzov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gunn circles away.
Gunn connects with a leg kick. Borzov looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Gunn thows a body kick. Borzov tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Gunn lands a left and a right that send Borzov crashing to the mat, dazed. Gunn thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Borzov is rocked!

The cut above Igor Borzov's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Gunn lands a nice shot to the body.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Gunn.
Gunn cracks the inside of Borzov's front leg.
Gunn connects with a stiff jab that staggers Borzov - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
