Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fredrick Cline (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Forte Boom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Forte Boom has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fredrick Cline!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Forte Boom!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom moves into range and connects with a jab.


It looks like Fredrick Cline has been cut.
Boom misses with a body shot.
Cline lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Cline throws a wild body kick that Boom sees coming a mile off.

Cline gets caught flat footed, as Boom shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Boom controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Boom pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cline is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Boom gets to his feet. Cline looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boom throws a right hand that Cline ducks under and follows up with a left that Cline also avoids with ease.
Boom misses with a body kick.
Cline went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Cline tries to sprawl but Boom drives through with a takedown into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Boom is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Boom thows a huge punch but Cline dodges it nicely.
Cline is not content to let Boom control the position.

Boom decides to return to a standing position.
Boom tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cline paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Cline went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Boom fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cline, pushing him back against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Cline wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Boom has him pressed against the cage.
Cline fails to pull guard.
Cline avoids a wild elbow strike from Boom.
Cline is trying to pull guard but Boom has him pressed against the cage.
Cline is looking to break free of the clinch but Boom has double underhooks.

Cline breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cline really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Boom shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cline's guard.

Cline looking for a guillotine here but Boom defends easily.
Cline will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Boom accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Boom stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cline swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cline is working an open guard so Boom takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
A clash of legs there as Boom blocks the low kick.

Boom lands a left and a right that send Cline crashing to the mat, dazed. Boom thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Cline is rocked!

Boom gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Oh Cline is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Boom has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Cline regains guard immediately.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Boom controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Boom working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Boom advances position into side control!

Boom thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Boom controls the position from side control.
Boom postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Cline is breathing heavily.

Boom tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Cline seems to have got his legs back now.

Boom is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Cline is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The ground and pound from Boom seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Boom decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Boom shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Cline swats away the attempt to clinch by Boom.
As Boom looks to move away, Cline throws a big counter combo but Boom just gets out of the way.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Boom.
Cline bucks up and tries to throw Boom off but instead Boom has got his back!
Cline is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Boom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Boom is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Cline knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Cline for a finish.

Good control from Boom.
Boom punches the canvas rather than the man.
Cline has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Boom.
Boom keeps control of the position easily here as Cline tries to buck him off.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Boom biding his time, controlling Cline.
Cline covering up well under a series of strikes from Boom.
Forte Boom has got the better of the ground game so far.

Boom throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boom struggling to land strikes to the head as Cline covers up.
Boom throwing sloppy strikes.
Cline is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Boom.
Boom's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Boom has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

Cline looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Boom thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Forte Boom showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Boom wants to clinch.
Boom wants to clinch but Cline slips to the side
and Cline counters with a body kick that stops Boom in his tracks momentarily.
Cline throws a low kick, looking for Boom's leg but Boom calmly moves out of range.

Boom closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Cline's guard.

Cline pushes Boom off and scrambles back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Forte Boom seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Boom closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cline to the mat! Cline manages to get full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Cline is looking for a triangle here but Boom uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Boom controlling from side mount.

Boom decides to stand up, so the ref orders Cline to his feet.

Boom dives in and scores a takedown into Cline's guard.
Boom is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cline is trying to keep Boom in close.

Boom stands and steps away. Cline gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Boom throws a sloppy head kick and Cline moves out of range easily.
Boom wants to clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Boom closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Boom looking to control but instead Cline has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Boom controlling the pace.

Boom looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Boom missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Fredrick Cline has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Forte Boom is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

I would just about give that final round to Forte Boom.
Well Boom has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
