Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Christopher Banks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, The Killer!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Alyssa Summers and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Banks looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Banks sitting and controlling from the half guard.

Banks is working for a kimura but Killer is defending it quite comfortably.
Banks uses his free foot to push down on Killer's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Killer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Banks is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Banks looking to score a takedown here. Killer is defending well but Banks drives through and ends up in Killer's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Banks sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Killer's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Killer is looking to control Banks's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Killer avoid being mounted?
Banks takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Killer wants to get back to full guard.
Killer is in trouble now - Banks has advanced to mount!

Banks working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Killer turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Banks off and cradles Killer's limp body as Banks celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Christopher Banks!
