Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Franco Belluci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Skeeles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mike Skeeles will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skeeles listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Skeeles scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Belluci rushes Skeeles and presses him up against the cage.
Belluci keeps control of Skeeles as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Belluci misses with an elbow over the top.
Skeeles gets underhooks to prevent Belluci's takedown attempt.
Skeeles is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Belluci trying to land knees to the body.
Belluci keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Skeeles's efforts to push away.
Belluci has Skeeles pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Skeeles manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Franco Belluci. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Skeeles breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Belluci fails to land the takedown.
Skeeles throws a lazy right hand but Belluci sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Belluci looks for a takedown but Skeeles sprawls well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Belluci keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Skeeles.
Belluci moves in looking to clinch but Skeeles pushes him off.
Skeeles ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Belluci moves away.
Skeeles throws a shot from downtown. Belluci moves away and avoids it.
Belluci closes the distance but Skeeles moves to the side
letting Skeeles counter with a right hand.
Sloppy strikes from Skeeles. Those never looked like landing.
Belluci keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Skeeles throws a jab but it's blocked by Belluci.
Skeeles throws a hook to the side of Belluci's head but Belluci sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Belluci changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Belluci tries to score a power double leg takedown but Skeeles sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Belluci somewhat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Belluci takes one to the chin there.

Belluci shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Belluci is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Skeeles moves into full guard.
Skeeles doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Skeeles manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Belluci manages to get himself to full guard.

Skeeles trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Skeeles stands and throws Belluci's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Skeeles has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Skeeles wants to control but Belluci is keeping him busy.

Skeeles stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Skeeles misses with a body shot.
Skeeles connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Belluci momentarily.
Skeeles walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Belluci drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Skeeles swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Belluci's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
