Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Crane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Woods (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Crane!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Woods!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woods slips a jab and a cross from Crane.
Crane uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Woods.

Crane shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Crane showed some decent athleticism there.
Crane is thwarting Woods's attempts to control the position.
Crane trying to control the action but Woods is working from the bottom.
Woods moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Woods keeping full guard, as Crane tries to pass.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Woods working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Crane doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Crane manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Crane wants to control from the top but Woods keeps moving.
Crane knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Woods on the ground.

We've been hearing that Crane has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Crane has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Woods is looking for a triangle but Crane pushes his legs off easily.

Woods might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Crane haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Crane avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Crane is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Woods had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Crane defends it easily.

Crane is in close to Woods's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Crane drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Crane jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Woods is trying to maintain the position but Crane is very close to passing his half guard.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Crane's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Woods is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Woods is looking for a triangle but Crane pushes his legs off easily.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Crane connects with a couple of short punches.
Crane might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Crane makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Woods can't keep his opponent in guard - Crane advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Crane dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Woods avoids the body shot from Crane.

Crane fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Woods sprawls well initially but Crane persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Crane is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Woods doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Crane.

Crane is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Woods has managed to free his arm - good work.
Woods is staying active underneath Crane, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Crane throws a big elbow that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Crane wants to pass the guard but Woods is keeping the position.

Crane got a little sloppy there for a moment and Woods has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Crane has managed to get both his arms back between Woods's legs - danger averted.

Woods is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Crane defends well.

Crane sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Woods doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Crane paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Woods - great work!
