The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goff shoots in for a double leg but Scandinavian sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Goff dives in and grabs Scandinavian's left leg, looking for a takedown. Scandinavian pushes down on Goff's head and hops out.
Goff closes this distance looking for a takedown but Scandinavian circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Erwin Goff. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Goff blocks a jab.
Goff shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Scandinavian pinned against the cage. Scandinavian gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Scandinavian pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Scandinavian moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Scandinavian has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Scandinavian uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Goff slaps away a takedown attempt from Scandinavian, before circling back to the center of the mat.

and Goff counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Scandinavian tries to break free but Goff pushes him back against the cage.

Goff tries to pull guard but Scandinavian holds him up against the cage and eventually Goff drops back down to his feet.
Scandinavian gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

It looks like Erwin Goff has been cut.
Goff is struggling to control the position.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Scandinavian misses with a punch on the inside.
Goff dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Goff's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Goff has Scandinavian pressed against the cage.
Goff jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Scandinavian walks away with a smile on his face. Goff gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Nice combo by Scandinavian! Oh, that's hurt him - Goff falls to the canvas and Scandinavian follows him into side control.

Goff is rocked!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Scandinavian has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Goff!
Oh Goff is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Scandinavian unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Goff wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Scandinavian celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
