Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Reggie Grimdal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Milan Sol!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sol changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Grimdal tries to avoid it but Sol manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Grimdal to the ground. Grimdal escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Milan Sol seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sol shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

and Grimdal counters with a left to the body.
Reggie Grimdal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Milan Sol.
Sol dives in and grabs Grimdal's left leg, looking for a takedown. Grimdal pushes down on Sol's head and hops out.

Grimdal moves into the clinch.

Grimdal's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Grimdal pushes off an throws an elbow but Sol leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Sol looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Grimdal is fending him off so far but Sol persists. Nope, Grimdal circles away and we're back to standing.
Grimdal swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Sol moves into range and clinches up with Grimdal.

Grimdal breaks from the clinch.
Sol darts in looking for a takedown but Grimdal gets double underhooks and turns Sol into the cage.
Sol shoots in for a takedown but Grimdal shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Sol tries to keep at a distance but Grimdal has taken the fight into the clinch.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sol has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Grimdal after a bit of a struggle.
Grimdal is pressed up against the cage. Sol has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Grimdal down to the mat. Grimdal avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Sol gets a double leg takedown into Grimdal's guard.

Grimdal scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Grimdal fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sol, pushing him back against the cage.
Sol takes a shot to the head.
Grimdal lands an elbow inside.

Sol is trying to break free.
Sol is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Grimdal gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Grimdal breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sol shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Grimdal but Grimdal pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Sol closes this distance looking for a takedown but Grimdal circles away.
Grimdal feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Sol will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Sol avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Sol is trying for a kimura here. Grimdal looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Sol wins by kimura!
