The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gomez rushes Medzy and presses him up against the cage.
Gomez drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Medzy is trying to trip Gomez. He has hold of a leg but Gomez is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Medzy persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Medzy drops back looking for a leg! Gomez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gomez manages to kick Medzy off! Medzy jumps back into Gomez's guard.

Medzy drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Gomez manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Medzy has Gomez in his guard.

Medzy has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Gomez should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Medzy has tightened it up now! Gomez should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
