Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Helmut Kohl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Desman DeSantos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Helmut Kohl!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Desman DeSantos!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeSantos keeps the fight on the outside.
DeSantos with the counter takedown but Kohl avoids it easily.
Kohl throws a combination that misses

and DeSantos counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Kohl breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
No joy there for Kohl, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kohl circles away from the clinch attempt.
DeSantos blocks a leg kick.

Kohl closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. DeSantos did well to prevent Kohl getting side control.
DeSantos is looking to improve his position.
Kohl really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Still in half guard, Kohl seems content to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kohl is looking for a kimura but DeSantos is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kohl to get the leverage.

DeSantos dives in for a single leg takedown but Kohl sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round but I would say that Helmut Kohl will probably get the nod.

DeSantos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kohl keeps working.

Kohl sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Kohl is staying active underneath DeSantos, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Helmut Kohl overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

DeSantos is looking for a kimura but Kohl is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for DeSantos to get the leverage.

DeSantos stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and DeSantos wants it to stay on the feet.
Despite the aggression on DeSantos's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
DeSantos scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kohl in his tracks.
The fight stays on the outside here - DeSantos looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
DeSantos just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromKohl.

Kohl shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts DeSantos as he jumps to the side.

Desman DeSantos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from DeSantos lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kohl has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kohl and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Kohl is looking to counter the offense by DeSantos and move into the clinch.
DeSantos fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Kohl jumps guard but DeSantos turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Kohl working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. DeSantos doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. DeSantos manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Kohl is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

DeSantos wants to control from the top but Kohl keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Kohl defends well against a solid takedown attempt from DeSantos.
Kohl tries to score a power double leg takedown but DeSantos sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kohl somewhat.

Kohl is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables DeSantos to keep the fight standing.

Kohl shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
DeSantos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kohl paws at him with a jab and circles away.

DeSantos looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Kohl is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables DeSantos to keep the fight standing.
DeSantos wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Kohl keeps the fight in the clinch, despite DeSantos's efforts to push away.
Kohl is looking for a takedown up against the cage. DeSantos gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kohl pushes off an throws an elbow but DeSantos leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
DeSantos on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
DeSantos blocks a punch to the side of the head.

And that's the end of the fight!
Desman DeSantos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think DeSantos has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
