Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Haigh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haigh comes to the cage accompanied by Prayer of the Refugee by Rise Against . Johnson has chosen Icky Thump as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Johnson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Johnson let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Kevin Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Johnson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Haigh manages to avoid it.
Haigh looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Johnson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Haigh lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Johnson circles away quickly and effectively.
Haigh throws a body punch but Johnson moves out of range.

Johnson pushes Haigh up against the cage in a clinch.

Johnson digs a right hand underneath Haigh's ribcage. Haigh let out a lung full of air as it connected.

and Haigh counters with an outside leg kick.
Johnson connects with a leg kick. Haigh looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Haigh takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Johnson darts in looking for a takedown but Haigh gets double underhooks and turns Johnson into the cage.
Haigh swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Johnson defending well as Haigh loads up on a big left hand.

Johnson misses with a straight left.

Haigh tries to close the distance and clinch but Johnson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Johnson looks to score with a jab to the body but Haigh is just out of range.

Johnson throws a front kick aimed at Haigh's knee but Haigh avoids it well.

A punch lands to the side of Haigh 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Johnson just misses with a punch to the body.
Haigh tries to counter by clinching up but Johnson breaks away and moves out of range.

John Haigh is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Haigh finds Johnson's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Johnson flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Haigh lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Johnson will be OK.
