Coming up we have a light heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Michael Blake and Aran Schmeck. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 16 wins and 4 losses; Michael Blake! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 10 losses; Aran Schmeck!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Sano.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Blake feints and as Schmeck raises his hands in defense, Blake changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Schmeck is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Schmeck seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Blake does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've been hearing good reports from Blake's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
