The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mirkovic swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Shirahama shoots in and gets a takedown into Mirkovic's guard.
Shirahama tries to free his leg and advance position but Mirkovic is retaining full guard.
Mirkovic wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Shirahama manages to pass to side control.

Mirkovic is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Shirahama scores with a couple of nice shots.

It looks like Igor Mirkovic has been cut.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Shirahama connects with a nice short shot to Mirkovic's temple.

That has opened up Igor Mirkovic's cut even more.

Shirahama takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
