Blues has chosen Chance The Rapper - Angels as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Monday Blues!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blues looks to land a right hand but Santiago moved out of range.
Blues misses with a wild body shot.
Blues throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Santiago is trying hard to land a takedown here. Blues sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Santiago uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Blues.

We've been informed that Blues has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Blues lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Santiago has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Santiago and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
It looked like Santiago wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Santiago goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Blues rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Santiago's guard! Nice work there by Blues!

Santiago has his foot on Blues's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Blues works his way back into a safe position though.

Monday Blues seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Blues lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Santiago at a distance.

Santiago shoots in looking for a takedown. Blues tries to sprawl out of it but Santiago keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Blues manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Santiago on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Santiago looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Blues is fending him off so far but Santiago persists. Nope, Blues circles away and we're back to standing.

Blues defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Santiago.
Santiago is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Blues's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Monday Blues comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Blues has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
