Coming up we have a bantamweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Zach Makovsky and Ivan Putski. Putski has chosen Aids as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 1 losses; Zach Makovsky! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 13 wins and 6 losses; Ivan Putski!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and Daniel Bishop.

Putski darts in looking for a takedown but Makovsky gets double underhooks and turns Putski into the cage.
Makovsky fails with an attempt to clinch.
Putski tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Makovsky takes the fight into the clinch.
Putski is looking for a takedown.
Makovsky is pressed up against the cage. Putski has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Makovsky down to the mat. Makovsky avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Zach Makovsky has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ivan Putski.

Putski gets tackled into the cage by Makovsky. Makovsky maintains the clinch.

Makovsky drops down looking for an ankle pick but Putski pulls his leg out and moves away.

Makovsky is looking to take a break and control but Putski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Makovsky wants to free his trapped foot but Putski is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Makovsky might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Makovsky looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Putski has picked Makovsky up and slammed him! Makovsky can't keep hold of the triangle and Putski manages to pass to side control!

Putski is staying tight to Makovsky's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Putski is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Makovsky's shoulder. That is not cool.

Makovsky tries to buck Putski off but Putski is having none of it.
Makovsky is not content to let Putski control the position.
Makovsky is trying to improve his position.
Makovsky is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Makovsky has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Putski is working away from the top position though.
My spies in Steel's Grappling Penn inform me that Putski has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Makovsky actively working from the bottom here.

Putski is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Makovsky doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Putski.

Putski is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Putski looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Makovsky is not content to let Putski control the position.

Putski is trying for a kimura here. Makovsky looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Putski wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 7:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ivan Putski!
