The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greene throws a sloppy head kick and Gaines moves out of range easily.
As Greene looks to move away, Gaines throws a big counter combo but Greene just gets out of the way.
Greene throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gaines shoots in for a takedown but Greene shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Tim Greene seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gaines is fighting to break Greene's control of his arms but Greene is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Gaines will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

I would just about give that final round to Tim Greene.
