Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lenny Huber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aki Salo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huber fails with a takedown attempt.
A head kick misses from Salo.
As Salo tries to get set, Huber tries to push him back and clinch up but Salo manages to avoid the attempt.
Salo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Salo misses with a head kick.
Huber wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Salo stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Salo wants it to stay on the feet.
Despite the aggression on Salo's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Huber drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Salo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Huber has Salo in his guard.

Huber bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Salo's guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Huber accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Salo has his hands on Huber's head, controlling the position.

Salo wants to stand up but Huber is controlling him.

Huber decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Salo, up you get!
Salo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Huber wants to clinch.
Huber sets himself, and Salo steps forward looking for the clinch! Huber avoids it this time.
Huber shoots for a double leg takedown but Salo sprawls well. He's pushed Huber's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Salo circles away from the clinch attempt
and Salo counters with a one-two to the body.
Huber closes this distance looking for a takedown but Salo circles away.
Huber is trying hard to land a takedown here. Salo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Huber shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Salo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Huber circles away.

and Salo counters with a big head kick but Huber shrugs it off.

Salo scores with a jab to the body.
Oh Huber is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Salo cracks the inside of Huber's front leg.
Huber keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
It looked like Huber was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Salo clinches with his opponent.

Salo breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Salo and Huber are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Salo throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Huber into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Salo knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
