Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sylvester Ritter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sylvester Ritter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sylvester Ritter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sam Wilson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson thumps Ritter with a low kick.
Sylvester Ritter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ritter swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A slow jab from Ritter misses its intended target.
Wilson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ritter.

Ritter gets tackled into the cage by Wilson. Wilson maintains the clinch.

Wilson throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Ritters head.

Ritter goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

I was talking to Ritter's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ritter connects with a nice short shot to Wilson's temple.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Wilson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ritter with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Sam Wilson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Well Wilson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
