Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Augie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt misses with a looping left.
Augie changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Hunt seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

It looks like DJ Augie has been cut.

And Augie tries to counter it with a takedown but Hunt pushes his down on his head and steps out.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Hunt throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

That was a close round but I would say that Matt Hunt will probably get the nod.

Hunt feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Augies jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Hunt gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Augie.
Hunt motions for Augie to come forward. Hunt throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Augie misses with an uppercut
and Hunt counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Augie takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Augie throws a hook but Hunt avoids it easily.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Hunt.
Hunt is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Augie can do to turn this around?

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hunt, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
