Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yu Sai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pavel Hryunov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yu Sai could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Pavel Hryunov's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sai fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hryunov is out of range.
Sai fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Hryunov's coach down at 3Band MMA ($500/week) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Hryunov's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Sai's corner calls for a 1-2. Sai obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Sai seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Hryunov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sai moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hryunov throws a body shot but no joy.
Sai will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hryunov looks to land a right hand but Sai moved out of range.
Sai lands a nice hook to Hryunov's body. Hryunov takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Good work by Sai as he checks the leg kick.
Sai tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Hryunov manages to circle out of the way.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hryunov ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Hryunov pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Sai back to the cage. Hryunov follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Hryunov throws a jab but it's blocked by Sai.
Sai fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hryunov manages to avoid it.
Hryunov let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Hryunov takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Sai, right into the meat.
A telegraphed right hand from Hryunov misses the target.
Horrible takedown attempt by Sai or perhaps it was just good defense by Hryunov, which made it look bad.

Hryunov throws a head kick but Sai moves out of range.
Sai changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hryunov tries to avoid it but Sai manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hryunov to the ground. Hryunov escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Hryunov is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Sai rather than just go for the knockout.
Sai darts in looking for a takedown but Hryunov gets double underhooks and turns Sai into the cage.

Hryunov loads up on a big right hand but Sai slips the punch.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Sai. Hryunov shrugs it off though.

Hryunov just misses with a punch to the body.
Sai wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Hryunov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sai tries to avoid it but Hryunov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sai to the ground. Sai escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Pavel Hryunov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sai moves away from the strike by Hryunov.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hryunov. Sai does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hryunov takes one to the chin there.

Sai has closed the distance and engaged Hryunov in a clinch.
Sai slowing the pace effectively.
A frustrated look appears on Hryunov's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Hryunov takes a shot to the head.
Sai scores with a shot to the side of Hryunov's head.
Hryunov is trying to force a seperation but Sai has the dominant position.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Hryunov takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Hryunov walks into a jab.
Sai dodges the punch combination from Hryunov.
A decent looking cross lands there for Sai.
Hryunov throws a leg kick but Sai sees it coming and moves out of range.
Sai slips a straight right by Hryunov.
A slapping leg kick lands for Sai.
Hryunov has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Sai.

Sai drives through and clinches with Hryunov against the cage.

A left hand lands to the body for Sai.
Sai tries to score a body lock takedown but Hryunov shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Sai lands a right hand.
Hryunov looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Sai's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Sai pushes Hryunov back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Sai lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
A shot in the inside from Sai.
Hryunov tries to break the clinch but Sai is controlling the position.
Hryunov wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sai has him pressed against the cage.
Hryunov tries to circle away but Sai has him pinned against the cage.
Sai lands with a left to the head.

Hryunov is rocked!

It looks like Pavel Hryunov has been cut.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Sai creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Hryunov is still on wobbly legs! Can Sai finish him?
Sai pushes Hryunov against the cage. Sai is working some dirty boxing. Sai pushes off with a quick right hook! Hryunov goes down! Hryunov tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Sai moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yu Sai!
Yu Sai decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
