Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Martti Molski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Altare!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Molski closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Altare did well to prevent Molski getting side control.

Altare is defending against the submission attempts here by Molski.

Molski thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Molski tries to free his leg and advance position but Altare is retaining full guard.

Molski drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Altare dives on top into guard.


Molski is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Altare defends well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Molski is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Altare pulls his head out easily.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Altare stands and steps away. Molski gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Altare throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Molski is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Altare pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Molski has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Altare after a bit of a struggle.
Altare throws a head punch that misses.
Altare works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Altare lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Molski or not.
Molski is breathing heavily.
Molski is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Molski changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Altare fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Altare throws out a powerful jab.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Molski tries to score a body lock takedown but Altare shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Altare lands a hook that snaps the head of Molski backwards.

John Altare dominated that round.

Molski tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Altare swivels and escapes.

Altare drops Molski with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Molski looks back up at him and smiles so Altare waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Altare darts in and clinches Molski up against the cage.
Altare has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Altare gets underhooks to prevent Molski's takedown attempt.

Altare swings wildly with an uppercut but Molski uses good head movement to avoid it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Molski changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Altare fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Altare rushes Molski and presses him up against the cage.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Altare lands a right hand that snaps the head of Molski backwards.
Altare is leaning against Molski and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Altare prevents the takedown attempt.
Molski tries for a takedown. No joy.
Still in the clinch, Altare scores with a nice short uppercut.
Altare softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
A nice right hand lands inside from Altare.
Altare lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Molski.

Altare drops Molski with a massive uppercut from the clinch! Oh my word, Molski is out cold! What a knockout!
