Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Griffin or perhaps it was just good defense by Van Der Saar, which made it look bad.
Griffin misses with a straight right.
Van Der Saar gets the takedown into side control.
Griffin is looking for a sweep.
Van Der Saar stands up and beckons Griffin to his feet.
Van Der Saar throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Griffin tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Van Der Saar is in Griffin's guard.
Van Der Saar would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Van Der Saar trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Van Der Saar is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Griffin has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Van Der Saar is looking to defend but Griffin has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Van Der Saar! Griffin pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Van Der Saar taps out and this one is all over!
