The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pletees moves into the clinch.
Knight tries to stall but Pletees uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Knight has Pletees pressed against the cage.

Knight is trying to maintain a safe position but Pletees gets an underhook and turns Knight into the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Pletees changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Knight looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Knight tries to buck Pletees off but Pletees is having none of it.

Knight shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Knight was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Pletees is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Knight stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Pletees.
Knight is breathing heavily.
Pletees changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Knight tries to avoid it but Pletees manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Knight to the ground. Knight escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Knight counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Pletees is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Knight tries to close the distance and clinch but Pletees swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Knight displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pletees throws out the jab.

Pletees tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Knight defends well and Pletees ends up having to push Knight into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Knight really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rudolf Knight will probably get the nod.
