Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bob Cook!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Trey Oshiro!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oshiro dodges the punch combination from Cook.
Oshiro tries to counter with a clinch but Cook shakes him off and moves away.
Oshiro shoots in for a takedown but Cook shows good takedown defense.
Cook appears to be looking for a big counter.
Oshiro tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Cook counters with a series of strikes. Oshiro will be more careful next time no doubt.

Oshiro closes the distance and clinches.
Oshiro is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Oshiro tries to pull guard but Cook won't allow it.
Oshiro creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Oshiro being controlled against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Oshiro tries to land knees in the clinch but Cook avoids the damage to the body.
Oshiro is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Cook prevents a body shot from Oshiro.
Oshiro tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Cook smiles and moves away.
Bob Cook has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trey Oshiro.
The fight stays on the outside here - Oshiro looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Cook is looking for a counter combo.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Oshiro tries to clinch but Cook is having none of it.

and Cook counters with a crisp one two that drops Oshiro! Cook thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Oshiro to his feet! Oshiro is in big trouble!


Oshiro is rocked!
Oshiro gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Bob Cook!
An out of breath Bob Cook thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
