Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Black Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Ruth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 23 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Black Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Ruth!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman is looking to clinch but Ruth is avoiding it.
Coleman gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Coleman uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ruth.
Ruth lands a jab to the nose.
Ruth lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Coleman slips a jab from Ruth.
Coleman just misses with a punch to the body.
Coleman lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ruth circles away quickly and effectively.

Coleman shoots in and bounces Ruth off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Coleman postures up and lands a big shot to Ruth's brow.

Ruth had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Coleman defends it easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Coleman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Ruth working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Coleman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Coleman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Coleman throws a big counter combination but Ruth scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

That was a close round but I would say that Black Coleman will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Coleman slips a straight right by Ruth.
Coleman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ruth moves away.
Ruth changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Coleman tries to close the distance and clinch but Ruth swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Coleman fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ruth sprawls well initially but Coleman persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Coleman slips a nice elbow through Ruth's hands, connecting with Ruth's forehead.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The fight stays on the outside here - Coleman looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Coleman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
