Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cesar Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Midori Kaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Midori Kaze acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cesar Reyes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Midori Kaze!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kaze shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Reyes keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Kaze postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Reyes to stand up.
Reyes blocks a head kick by Kaze.

Kaze feints and as Reyes raises his hands in defense, Kaze changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kaze showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Reyes tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kaze sitting in guard here, content to control.
Reyes bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kaze's guard.

Reyes working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Reyes trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Reyes throwing strikes from guard but Kaze blocks nicely.

Kaze is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kaze looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Kaze had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Reyes defends it easily.

Kaze working for a triangle but Reyes defends it easily.
Reyes with a flurry of punches that miss.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kaze wants to hit a switch here but Reyes passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Kaze there!
Kaze tries to hold on but Reyes postures up.
Kaze can't escape the position.
Kaze is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Reyes putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Reyes thowing shots but they're missing.
Reyes cracks Kaze with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Reyes scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Kaze tries to hold on but Reyes pushes him away.
Kaze slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Kaze looks like he's trying to stand up.
Kaze trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Kaze is in all sorts of trouble here.
Reyes looking to ground and pound but Kaze is blocking nicely.
Reyes lands a nice shot to the head.
Reyes pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Reyes throwing strikes but Kaze uses the opportunity to regain half guard.

Reyes not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Reyes trying to control from Kaze's half guard. Kaze has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kaze lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Reyes might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kaze postures up.
Kaze missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Reyes is trying to control the position but Kaze postures up.

Reyes looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Reyes keeping full guard, as Kaze tries to pass.
Kaze is still trying to improve position.
Reyes is trying to keep Kaze in close.
Reyes lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cesar Reyes dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Kaze clinches up against the cage.
Reyes prevents Kaze from breaking the clinch.
Kaze wants to get back to striking at distance but Reyes won't allow it.
Reyes is trying to pull guard but Kaze has him pressed against the cage.
Kaze tries to circle away but Reyes has him pinned against the cage.
Kaze lands with a short head shot on the inside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kaze just leaning against Reyes, taking a breather.

Kaze drags the fight down to the ground.
Reyes throws a strike but Kaze rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Kaze avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kaze tries to free his leg and advance position but Reyes is retaining full guard.
Kaze controlling from the top position.

Kaze stands up from Reyes's guard - Kaze perhaps looking for a knockout.
Kaze throws a front kick aimed at Reyes's knee but Reyes avoids it well.

Reyes gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Reyes is trying to pull guard but Kaze has him pressed against the cage.
Kaze is trying to force a seperation but Reyes has the dominant position.
Kaze has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Kaze tries to break free but Reyes pushes him back against the cage.
Kaze has Reyes pushed against the cage.
Kaze holding his opponent close, against the cage.

Kaze has picked Reyes up - he's going for a ride! Kaze dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Kaze wants to take a breather but Reyes is having none of it.
Kaze perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Reyes strikes from the bottom but Kaze uses the opportunity to move to side control.

Reyes is looking to reverse the position.

Kaze tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kaze has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Reyes struggling a bit here.
Reyes is looking to regain half guard here but Kaze keeps moving and retains side control.
Kaze in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Reyes looks to move to half guard but instead Kaze has passed into mount! Damn!
Kaze manages to capitalize on a mistake by Reyes to take his back!

Reyes is really stuck here.
Reyes is working hard here to advance position.

Kaze is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Reyes trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Kaze throwing damaging strikes from the back! Reyes could be in trouble here!
I really don't envy Reyes right now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kaze is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Reyes knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Reyes for a finish.
Kaze keeps control of the position easily here as Reyes tries to buck him off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Midori Kaze showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Reyes tries to roll over but Kaze keeps him under control.

Kaze throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Reyes trying to hold on to Kaze's head to control him but Kaze postures up.

Kaze stands up out of the half guard.

Kaze rushes Reyes and presses him up against the cage.
Reyes drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Kaze works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Reyes throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Reyes looking for a sweep. Not yet Reyes, not yet.
Kaze has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Kaze slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Kaze throws a big elbow that misses.

Reyes throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kaze throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Reyes works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kaze stands and throws Reyes's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Reyes is looking for a sweep.
Kaze happy to just control the position for now.

Kaze wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reyes keeps working.
Kaze has control of an arm but Reyes manages to advance to Kaze's back!
Reyes missing with punches from the back.
Reyes is trying to stick to Kaze's back but Kaze is turning into Reyes. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Reyes's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Kaze.

Kaze gets to his feet. Reyes looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A bit of stalling here from Reyes.

Kaze pulls guard effortlessly.
Kaze controlling Reyes's posture.
Kaze trying to control the position.
Reyes with a flurry of punches that miss.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kaze looking for a sweep. Not yet Kaze, not yet.
Kaze thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Kaze is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

And that's the end of the fight!
Midori Kaze comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kaze has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
