Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nate Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yi Dong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nate Coleman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nate Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yi Dong!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shigeki Fujiwara and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dong throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Coleman counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Coleman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Coleman seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Dong for as long as he can get away with.
Coleman's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dong escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Coleman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

so Coleman counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Dong controls Coleman momentarily but Coleman frees himself.
Dong is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Coleman is controlling him.
Coleman won't allow Dong to sweep him here.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Dong throws a combination that misses

and Coleman counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Coleman.

Coleman has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Dong is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Dong shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Coleman as he jumps to the side.

Nate Coleman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yi Dong.

Coleman changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Dong darts in trying to clinch

Dong tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Dong manages to reverse the position and now he's in Coleman's guard. Nice work there by Dong.

Dong is fighting to break Coleman's control of his arms but Coleman is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Coleman is stinking the place up with his stalling.

Coleman manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Dong wants to break free but Coleman has control.
Dong has had enough of the clinch but Coleman keeps him there for the moment.
Coleman blocks an elbow strike from Dong.

Coleman keeps control of Dong as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Coleman is looking to take this one to the mat.
Coleman takes an elbow to the temple.
Dong is working for takedown but Coleman is calmly controlling the position for now.
Coleman prevents Dong from breaking the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Yi Dong.
I think Coleman has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
