The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobi throws a hook but Johns avoids it easily.
Johns is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Johns with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
A jab from Jacobi finds it's way through Johns's defenses.
La'Von Johns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jacobi lands a two punch combo.
Johns throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Jacobi.
Jacobi doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Johns counters with a two punch combo.
Jacobi misses with a straight left.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jacobi tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Johns defends well and Jacobi ends up having to push Johns into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Johns takes one to the chin there.
Johns has been working on his boxing with his coaches at 3Band MMA ($500/week) in the buildup to the fight.
Johns ducks right into an uppercut from Jacobi.
Jab, jab by Johns - just one landing.
Johns stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Jacobi is rocked!
Johns lands a big right hand that sends Jacobi crashing to the mat! Johns stays standing though and waves Jacobi back to his feet!
Jacobi is still on wobbly legs! Can Johns finish him?
Johns keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Johns throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Jacobi crumples to the floor and the fight is over!

A very excited looking La'Von Johns rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
