The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gentry looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Smirnoff looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Gentry stands and throws Smirnoff's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Smirnoff is being controlled here.
Gentry has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Gentry stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Gentry showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Smirnoff.
Gentry drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Smirnoff defends it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smirnoff gets caught napping as Gentry dives in and scores a takedown. Smirnoff manages to retain guard.
Gentry drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Gentry seems to have locked his on tight now - Smirnoff screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Gentry, as he picks up the win!
