Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between George Ciz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Pinaglabanan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pinaglabanan has chosen Too sexy! as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 17 - 1, fighting out of New York, George Ciz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, John Pinaglabanan!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pinaglabanan scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Pinaglabanan controls the position.
Ciz is trying to get back to half guard.
Pinaglabanan tries to advance to mount but Ciz denies him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ciz is trying to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ciz manages to get back to half guard.
Ciz is looking to control Pinaglabanan's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ciz avoid being mounted?
Ciz works his way to full guard. Good work.
Ciz looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Pinaglabanan connects with a body shot that sends Ciz's belly button to the back.

Pinaglabanan rushes Ciz and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Pinaglabanan has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Ciz regains guard immediately.

Ciz working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Pinaglabanan has passed into half guard!

Ciz is pressing down on Pinaglabanan's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Ciz wants to sweep here but Pinaglabanan controlling him for the moment.

Ciz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Pinaglabanan clinches up with Ciz and pushes him back against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pinaglabanan moves in looking to clinch but Ciz pushes him off.
Ciz appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Pinaglabanan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ciz was well out of range. Poor timing from Pinaglabanan.
Pinaglabanan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Ciz jumps guard but Pinaglabanan turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Ciz throws a head kick that misses.

Pinaglabanan decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Ciz is looking to get back to is feet but Pinaglabanan passes into side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Ciz is looking for a sweep.
Pinaglabanan moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
You can see the frustration on Ciz's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Ciz trying to control but Pinaglabanan flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Pinaglabanan is hanging on to Ciz's back as he tries to escape.
Ciz has hold of Pinaglabanan's arm. He needs to escape this position sooner or later but for now he's happy enough to control the position and prevent the submission attempts.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Pinaglabanan controlling the positon.
Pinaglabanan has the hooks in. Ciz is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Pinaglabanan is not going to allow Ciz to sit and survive in this position.
Ciz tries to escape the position.
Pinaglabanan controlling the position well here. Ciz rolled but Pinaglabanan kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Ciz manages to reverse the position and now he's in Pinaglabanan's guard. Nice work there by Ciz.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Ciz tries to pull guard but Pinaglabanan forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Ciz goes for a takedown attempt but Pinaglabanan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

so Pinaglabanan counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Ciz pulls Pinaglabanan in close to his closed guard and prevents Pinaglabanan from doing any damage or advancing position.
Ciz wants to improve his position but instead Pinaglabanan has moved into half guard.

Ciz is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Ciz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Pinaglabanan is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Ciz gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Ciz prevents the takedown attempt.
Pinaglabanan drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ciz pulls his leg out and moves away.

Ciz pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
And Pinaglabanan tries to counter it with a takedown but Ciz pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ciz throws out a leg kick but Pinaglabanan moves out of range and Ciz only half commits.
Pinaglabanan scores with a nice strike.
Pinaglabanan fails with a takedown attempt.
Ciz ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pinaglabanan moves away.
Pinaglabanan gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Pinaglabanan lands a right hook to the body.
Pinaglabanan throws out a loose jab but Ciz uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ciz is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Pinaglabanan.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Pinaglabanan closes the distance and pushes Ciz back into the cage.

Ciz has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Pinaglabanan is trying to keep an underhook but Ciz manages to get the takedown into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
John Pinaglabanan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Pinaglabanan winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
