Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marshall Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drew Rossback (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Banks kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is L.D Poppin. Marshall Banks has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Drew Rossback!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Russell Pearce and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banks throws a series of punches but Rossback avoids them all with ease.
Despite the aggression on Rossback's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Banks takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
A jab from Banks misses.
A nice inside leg kick there by Rossback. That's going to slow Banks down.
Rossback looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Banks throwing a counter right hand but Rossback manages to avoid it.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Banks crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Rossback - the referee stops the clock and Banks gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Rossback. Banks manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Rossback takes one to the chin there.

It looks like Drew Rossback has been cut.
Rossback takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Banks works over Rossback's head and body with a nice combination.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Banks drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Banks looks to throw the jab but Rossback is out of range.
Banks bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Rossback's head backwards.
Rossback feints a jab promting Banks to slip. Rossback then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Banks slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Marshall Banks has been cut.
A jab from Banks misses.
Rossback misses with an uppercut.
Rossback closes the distance and clinches up with Banks, looking for a takedown. Rossback pushes Banks against the cage but Banks circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Banks cracks Rossback with an open hand slap.
Rossback lands with an overhand left.
Banks dodges the punch combination from Rossback.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Banks pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Rossback back to the cage. Banks follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Rossback is rocked!
Banks throws a monster overhand right that drops Rossback! Banks follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marshall Banks!
Marshall Banks made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'I knew i would KO this man, nobody can take those shots but hes just a step on my path to greatness. There's no time to celebrate just laugh and wait.'.
