Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kelvin Gastelum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuri Ustinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ustinov has chosen ENERGIA! as his entrance music. The key to victory for Kelvin Gastelum has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kelvin Gastelum!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yuri Ustinov!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Chad Campbell and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gastelum misses with a kick to the body

and Ustinov counters by moving into the clinch.
Gastelum trying to land knees to the body.
Gastelum lands a right hand.
Gastelum tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Gastelum lands an uppercut.
Ustinov dodges an elbow strike from Gastelum.
Ustinov is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Gastelum pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Ustinov tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gastelum missing with knees to the body.
Ustinov jumps guard but Gastelum stands there with Ustinov around his waist. Ustinov gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kelvin Gastelum has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yuri Ustinov.

Gastelum has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Ustinov clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Gastelum has the hooks in. Ustinov is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gastelum definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Gastelum avoids the attempt from Ustinov to control.
Ustinov is wriggling around trying to escape.
Ustinov holds on, trying desperately to control.
Ustinov tries to hold on but Gastelum pushes him away.
Ustinov is trying to escape the mount.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Gastelum thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Ustinov is squirming around, avoiding Gastelum's attempts to control the action.
Gastelum wants to control but Ustinov has made it back to half guard. Nice work.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Gastelum prevents Ustinov from improving his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Gastelum's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Ustinov rushes Gastelum and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ustinov blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Gastelum tries to land knees in the clinch but Ustinov avoids the damage to the body.
Gastelum tries to break the clinch but Ustinov is controlling the position.

Ustinov drags the fight down to the ground.

Gastelum wants to control from the top but Ustinov keeps moving.
Gastelum is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ustinov can do to turn this around?
Ustinov looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
We've been informed that Ustinov has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Ustinov tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ustinov pulls Gastelum in close to his closed guard and prevents Gastelum from doing any damage or advancing position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Gastelum trying to control but Ustinov is working from the bottom.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
A left and a right from Gastelum both land. Nice combination.
Ustinov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gastelum but Gastelum pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Gastelum went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Gastelum throws a combination. Ustinov tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Gastelum shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Ustinov eats them both and turns towards Gastelum to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Ustinov forces Gastelum back against the cage and clinches.
Ustinov tries to pull guard but Gastelum won't allow it.

Gastelum is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Ustinov can't fight it off and eventually Gastelum manages to take the fight to the floor. Ustinov looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Ustinov has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Gastelum is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Ustinov pulls guard effortlessly.
Ustinov wants to sweep but no luck.
Gastelum tries to free his leg and advance position but Ustinov is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gastelum throws a big right hand that misses.

Ustinov pulls Gastelum in to control the position.
Gastelum looking to sit in guard and control but Ustinov gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Ustinov pushes down on Gastelum's leg and manages to get into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ustinov is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Ustinov wants to pass to mount but Gastelum is defending the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Ustinov is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Yuri Ustinov will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Ustinov is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Gastelum to keep the fight standing.
Ustinov tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gastelum smiles and moves away.

and Gastelum counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Kelvin Gastelum is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Ustinov moves into the clinch.
Gastelum is trying to push Ustinov away but Ustinov has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Ustinov tries to pull guard but Gastelum forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Ustinov turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Ustinov manages to end up in side control.
Ustinov is looking to take a break and control but Gastelum is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Ustinov has hold of Gastelum's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Gastelum seems comfortable defending it but Ustinov has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Gastelum is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Gastelum is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Ustinov couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Yuri Ustinov!
