Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Trey Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Eric Ashton!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brown looks to land a right hand but Ashton moved out of range.
Ashton looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Brown paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Brown clobbers Ashton with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Ashton shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brown's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ashton accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Brown has his hands on Ashton's head, controlling the position.
Ashton passes Brown's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Ashton working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Ashton throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Brown works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Ashton connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Brown momentarily.
Trey Brown is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Brown connects with a right hand. Ashton shakes it off.
Brown attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Brown looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Ashton jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Ashton finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Ashton stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Ashton throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Ashton scores with a nice head shot.
Brown looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Brown gets a clinch.
Brown lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Ashton or not.

Brown with an attempt at a knee that misses.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Brown.

A short right hand to the side of the head by Brown.
Ashton blocking some punches.

Ashton tightens his grip and picks Brown up, before dumping him to the ground. Brown manages to land in guard.
Ashton postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Ashton cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Brown thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Ashton if he has to take too many more of those.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Brown tests Ashton's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Ashton uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Brown has time to react.
Ashton chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Brown can pounce on him.
Brown swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Trey Brown will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Ashton shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Brown sprawls well. Brown wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ashton gets slowly back to his feet.
Ashton misses with an uppercut.
Brown scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

and Brown counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ashton takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Ashton looks to land a left hand but Brown moved out of range nicely.

and Ashton counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Ashton connects with a good right hand that stumbles Brown. Brown circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Ashton lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Brown misses with an uppercut. Ashton saw that one coming.

Brown lets loose with a powerful body kick. Ashton will feel that in the morning.

Brown lands a lovely overhand right.
Ashton cracks Brown with an open hand slap.
Brown takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Brown fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ashton has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Trey Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eric Ashton.
Brown tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Ashton is able to avoid easily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Brown is looking to control Ashton's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Brown avoid being mounted?
Eric Ashton has got the better of the ground game so far.

Ashton is stalling here. Brown is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Ashton seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Brown has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
