The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Quincy.
Tunney shoots for a double leg takedown but Quincy sprawls well. He's pushed Tunney 's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Tunney shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Tunney shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Quincy as he avoids it easily.
Tunney misses with a takedown attempt - Quincy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Pierce Quincy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gene Tunney .
Quincy ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Tunney on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Quincy fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Tunney has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Tunney misses with a takedown attempt
and Quincy counters with a nice low kick that buckles Tunney 's knee momentarily.
Tunney goes for a double leg but Quincy avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Quincy continues to drive forward.
Tunney has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Quincy.
Tunney shoots in looking for a takedown. Quincy tries to sprawl out of it but Tunney keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Quincy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
A chopping leg kick lands by Quincy.

Tunney tries to clinch but Quincy moves out of range.
Quincy is looking to counter with head kicks.

Pierce Quincy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Tunney shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Quincy sprawls well. Quincy wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tunney gets slowly back to his feet.
Quincy fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Tunney .
Quincy dips to his left and cracks Tunney with an uppercut!
Quincy cracks Tunney with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Quincy connects with a jab.
Quincy showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Tunney .
Tunney takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Quincy lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tunney uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Quincy.
Quincy takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Quincy leaves Tunney with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

and Quincy counters with a series of strikes. Tunney will be more careful next time no doubt.

Tunney on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Quincy. Quincy obviously looking to wear him down.
Tunney is still on wobbly legs! Can Quincy finish him?

and Quincy makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Quincy lands with a shot to the body.
Quincy drops Tunney with a straight right hand, right on the button! Quincy follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
