The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mugglestick swings for the body but Merel moves out of range.
Merel is looking to counter punch.
Mugglestick misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Merel.
Mugglestick throws a sloppy head kick
and Merel counters with a nice body shot.
Mugglestick looks to throw the jab but Merel is out of range.
A lazy left from Merel finds it's target.
Merel takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

and Merel connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Mugglestick swings away with a body shot that misses
and Merel counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Merel fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mugglestick has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
No luck for Mugglestick with that takedown attempt.
Mugglestick misses the body punch
and Merel counters with a left to the body.
Mugglestick dives in and grabs Merel's left leg, looking for a takedown. Merel pushes down on Mugglestick's head and hops out.
Jack Merel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wrinkle Mugglestick.

Mugglestick has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mugglestick there as he acknowledges the shot.

Merel looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A bone on bone clash there as Merel blocks the leg kick.

and Merel counters with a crisp one two that drops Mugglestick! Merel thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Mugglestick to his feet! Mugglestick is in big trouble!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mugglestick swings widly with a right hand
and Merel counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Mugglestick badly! He tries to strike back but Merel puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Mugglestick out cold! Oh man, Mugglestick will never hear the end of this one!
