Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy Bangsit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Malik Al-Khaldi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Al-Khaldi has chosen Terror - Shot Of Reality as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Andy Bangsit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Malik Al-Khaldi!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Russell Pearce and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al-Khaldi scores with a crisp jab that stopped Bangsit in his tracks.
Nice sprawl there from Al-Khaldi as Bangsit shoots in.
Al-Khaldi fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Al-Khaldi's corner calls for a 1-2. Al-Khaldi obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Al-Khaldi missing with a left hand there. Bangsit was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Al-Khaldi connects with a right hand. Bangsit shakes it off.
Bangsit on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Al-Khaldi missing with a left hand there. Bangsit was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Bangsit half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Al-Khaldi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Al-Khaldi wants it to stay on the feet.
Al-Khaldi lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Al-Khaldi motions for Bangsit to come forward. Al-Khaldi throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Bangsit changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Al-Khaldi scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Al-Khaldi has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Al-Khaldi throws a nice inside leg kick.

Bangsit walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Al-Khaldi defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bangsit.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andy Bangsit. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bangsit displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Al-Khaldi throws out the jab.
Malik Al-Khaldi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bangsit tries to score a power double leg takedown but Al-Khaldi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bangsit somewhat.

and Bangsit counters with a single leg into guard. Al-Khaldi didn't expect that.
Bangsit postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Bangsit tries to free his leg and advance position but Al-Khaldi is retaining full guard.
Bangsit throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Al-Khaldi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bangsit manages to get himself to full guard.


Bangsit working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Al-Khaldi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Al-Khaldi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bangsit is looking for a triangle but Al-Khaldi pushes his legs off easily.

Bangsit has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Al-Khaldi is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Bangsit.
Al-Khaldi controls the position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bangsit is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Al-Khaldi off and has taken his back!

Al-Khaldi is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Al-Khaldi trying to control the hands but Bangsit won't let him.
Bangsit has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bangsit is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Al-Khaldi covering up well and avoiding damage.

Bangsit is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Al-Khaldi is defending well though. Bangsit let's go of the attempt for now.

Bangsit has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Al-Khaldi has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Al-Khaldi is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bangsit working for a choke but Al-Khaldi is defending well.
Al-Khaldi is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Bangsit is looking for the choke from the back position but Al-Khaldi is controlling his hands well.

Al-Khaldi is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Al-Khaldi tries to roll but Bangsit sticks to his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Malik Al-Khaldi dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Bangsit takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
A low kick from Al-Khaldi misses

and Bangsit counters with a takedown into side control.

Al-Khaldi explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Al-Khaldi uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bangsit darts in looking for a takedown but Al-Khaldi gets double underhooks and turns Bangsit into the cage.
Al-Khaldi throws a nice outside leg kick.
Bangsit takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Al-Khaldi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bangsit throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Al-Khaldi's waist but Al-Khaldi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bangsit off to one side.
Al-Khaldi flicks out a counter leg kick but Bangsit steps away.
Al-Khaldi fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bangsit has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andy Bangsit. That's going to take a lot out of him.

No luck for Bangsit with that takedown attempt.
Bangsit looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Al-Khaldi connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Al-Khaldi gets a clinch.
Bangsit looking for a takedown.
Al-Khaldi digs a right hand underneath Bangsit's ribcage. Bangsit let out a lung full of air as it connected.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Al-Khaldi.
Bangsit has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Al-Khaldi avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Al-Khaldi lands with a short shot to the head.


Bangsit is rocked!
Al-Khaldi lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Oh Bangsit is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Al-Khaldi creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Bangsit's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Bangsit drops to his knees and Al-Khaldi pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Malik Al-Khaldi!
An out of breath Malik Al-Khaldi thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
