Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Henri Kirchen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Olle Tandberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Henri Kirchen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Olle Tandberg!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tandberg is looking to slow Kirchen down with leg kicks.

Kirchen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Tandberg to the mat! Tandberg manages to get full guard.
Kirchen advances to half guard.
Kirchen is controlling the pace.

Kirchen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tandberg is just riding it out for now. Kirchen eventually gives up the hold.
Kirchen works his foot free and advances to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kirchen content just to control the position here.

Kirchen prevents Tandberg from getting the reversal.
Tandberg tries to hold on but Kirchen postures up.
Tandberg tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kirchen sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Kirchen is working for a guillotine from mount but Tandberg frees his head quite easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kirchen wants to finish this one by submission but Tandberg is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kirchen.
Tandberg is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Kirchen controlling the pace for now.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tandberg can do anything to dispel that myth.
Kirchen fails to advance to Tandberg's back.
Tandberg tries to lock up and control but Kirchen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Kirchen lands a heavy elbow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Kirchen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Despite the aggression on Tandberg's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Kirchen throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tandberg was covering up waiting for the punch and Kirchen finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Kirchen works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Kirchen passes the guard and advances to mount!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kirchen landing strikes from the mount and Tandberg is in trouble!

Tandberg holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Kirchen tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Tandberg working to try and regain half guard.
Kirchen takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Tandberg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kirchen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kirchen lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Tandberg has left one of his arms exposed and Kirchen doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Tandberg screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
