The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rutten bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Hunt fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rutten.
A solid leg kick lands there for Hunt.
Hunt swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Rutten connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Matt Hunt has been cut.
Rutten takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Rutten is looking to counter with a body kick.
Hunt misses with a body kick.
It appears Rutten was looking to counter with a kick there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hunt swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Rutten is looking to counter punch.
Hunt throws out a loose jab but Rutten uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rutten thinks about countering with a head kick.
Rutten slips a jab from Hunt.

Hunt swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Rutten.
Nice defenses there by Rutten.
Rutten quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Hunt tests Rutten's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Hunt sends Rutten crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Hunt is motioning to the referee to let Rutten up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hunt weaves into range and cracks Rutten right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Rutten goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Hunt is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
