Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Combo King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, Jon Melcher!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Phil Schofield and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Melcher.
Melcher shoots in looking for a takedown but King manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Melcher's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Melcher fails to land the takedown.
Melcher shoots in for a takedown but King shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Combo King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Melcher.
Horrible takedown attempt by Melcher or perhaps it was just good defense by King, which made it look bad.

Melcher gets tackled into the cage by King. King maintains the clinch.

Good body shot from King.
A short right hand to the side of the head by King.
Melcher wants to break the clinch but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Melcher tries to break the clinch but King is controlling the position.
King prevents Melcher from breaking the clinch.
Melcher wants to break free but King has control.

A right handed body shot lands from King.
King lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Melcher or not.
Melcher looks winded!
The referee calls for King to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A frustrated look appears on Melcher's face as he tries to break the clinch.
King lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Our sources have told us that King has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
King lands with a light punch inside.
King with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.


Melcher is rocked!
King lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Melcher is still on wobbly legs! Can King finish him?
Melcher is trying to push King away but King has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Melcher seems to have recovered his senses.
King has Melcher pressed against the cage, preventing Melcher from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
King cracks Melcher with a nice body shot.
King landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
King lands a body punch in the clinch.
King lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Melcher takes a shot to the head.


It looks like Jon Melcher has been cut.
King creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Melcher's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Melcher drops to his knees and King pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Combo King!
Jon Melcher was interviewed post fight and said 'We tried. We failed. I guess it's back to the ol' drawing board!'.
