Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Dominguez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and HP Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rafael Dominguez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, HP Storm!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Storm gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Dominguez has clasped his hands together around Storm's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Storm is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Dominguez is staying active.
Storm tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dominguez wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Dominguez is trying to work for a kimura but Storm is defending well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dominguez is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dominguez missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Storm is trying is best to control the position here.

Storm is concentrating on defense, preventing Dominguez from advancing position.

Storm trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Dominguez manages to pass to mount!
Storm tries to hold on but Dominguez pushes him away.
Storm holds on to Dominguez as tight as he can, avoiding damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Storm is looking to improve his position but Dominguez isn't that keen on the idea.

Dominguez is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Storm has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Storm!

Storm is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Storm shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Storm wants to stand but Dominguez has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Storm controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Storm throws a strike but Dominguez rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


Storm escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Dominguez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Storm doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Storm working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Dominguez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Dominguez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Dominguez could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Storm slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Storm is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Dominguez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Storm has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dominguez has managed to get both his arms back between Storm's legs - danger averted.
Dominguez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Dominguez is posturing up here but Storm has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Dominguez tries to roll out but it's too tight and Dominguez has to tap! Slick submission there by Storm!
