Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cartel Lopez!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lopez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Strom swivels and escapes.
Lopez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Strom goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Lopez slips a jab and a cross from Strom.
Strom sets himself, and Lopez steps forward looking for the clinch! Strom avoids it this time.
Lopez tries to score a power double leg takedown but Strom sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lopez somewhat.

Strom will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Strom rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lopez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Lopez has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Strom throws a nice looking combination but Lopez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lopez is defended easily by Strom.

Lopez is working to tighten his grip on Strom's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Strom has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Lopez is really squeezing tight and eventually Strom passes out! Lopez breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
